Pills and Promises

There once a girl who found her self dying
with a pain in her gut she started crying
she regretted the pills
and how easy it all was
how rash it was to take them
just because
she prayed and begged
with all her heart
and wept and asked for a fresh start
with out the pain of yesterday there
but with the people who truly cared
she feared all that she didnt know
about the places where the dead go
she feared it so much she decided to stay
but only if some hope looked her way
she made a promise as she sat all alone
that she would get out on her own
