Poetry is love perfectly portrayed.
as we enter an eternity of hate
as we breath in the lies that are woven by
people that are just like us
poetry shows reality in a brainwashed society

Poetry is like a blue bird first spreading it’s wings
full of hope for what it should be and where it could go
sometimes we fall before we have to fly,
just like that little bird
but we can make it

Poetry is about the feelings that run the world
love and lust sitting hand in hand
and greed sitting in a corner alone
just like all of the people that follow his path
but they are all portrayed in beauty
when there is time to finally see

Poetry is as important as air, a breath for our souls
that shows that we aren't alone when it all comes down
to the facts that beauty is what we live for
everyone seeking it in their own way
all trying to find a sliver of something to live for

Poetry is as pointless as the potential lost in suicide
with all of us holding our breath
as everything is set in motion
with these pointless rhymes keeping time with our breathing
as so much is wasted on someone who doesn't care

Poetry means laying your heart on the page
sharing your thoughts and feelings
Sharing your passions and your hates
The things that make you move from day to day
the things that make you excited to get out of bed in the morning

Poetry is life finally being seen, as what it truly is.
