Brown Eyed Tsumani
If I told you that I had a secret that nobody knew,
If i gave you a chance to hear it while laying wide awake in the late hours of the night,
would you listen?
There was a somebody, a warm body,
a body with the voice of a million brilliant stars,
the heartbeat of a golden dragon,
the type that stays resonating in your soul,
“I miss you”
But we get attached to people,
Like a child playing with bubbles,
One second there is joy and the next it is gone,
You’re the mom who takes the bottle once it spills.
Taking my heart and beating it until the veins stop flowing,
Do you think people can see these bruises forming?
Do you think that they care?
“It was only a few months”
Cool tones and yellow churn to marbling day by day,
Inside and out,
But bruises can’t form on things that don’t bleed,
“He didn’t really care about you”
I’m waiting for you to ask me my secret,
It’s still there, waiting, maybe it’ll wait forever,
Or maybe it’ll wait until the resonation fades away
