The Trip
The long awaited moment of summer
Three months off but feels so short
Memories are waiting to be made
In a place my parents grew up
The country called China
A country far away from the homeland
But so excited to see and remember a place of my people
The place where my parents grew up happily
A country full of new adventures
A country waiting for me to explore
When the moment came, the arrival was heart pounding
The Hong Kong International Airport was spectacular of its own rights
People running left to right, right to left trying to make it before their flight took air
The overwhelming amount of people in the cities
The endless amount of things to do like hiking up mountains and endless shopping in the malls
and eating the bottomless buffets to the wallet breaking restaurants
restaurants placed back to back and stretched from miles it seemed like
The long but short 70 days came fast and went faster
I need another China vacation
A break from the everyday boring lifestyle here in the Americas
