Goodbye
Here I sit drowning
gasping for air.
I wonder if anyone will care,
who am I kidding I know they won’t.
I sit here drowning,
in nothing but my thoughts,
where the demons hide.
They say it’s time,
time to end it all.
But I keep fighting.
Please help me,
my silent cry.
Can anyone hear me?
I’m so scared.
Scared I’m on the edge.
Scared all of it will take is one last shove.
Scared of the blade in my skin, and its sweet escape.
Scared of the pills in my hand, and their tempting escape.
Terrified of the tomorrow, that will not come.
Can I do it? Make the suffering end?
For the monsters that were under my bed,
are now in my head.
I say I’m just tired,
and that’s the truth.
I’m tired of fighting,
tired of faking it all
I can’t keep it up anymore.
Slowly I’m giving up.
They always said the pills would fix me,
They were right,
they did.
I fear the only thing left is goodbye and this note.
Goodbye.
