Once Upon a Childhood
I’ve always waited out my window
To be a chosen one
By a little boy who won’t grow old
And will lead me past the sun
To visit places near and wide
To where the mermaids graze
And guide me to a festive tribe
Where we’ll party for nights and dayz
Don’t judge if I’ve wanted a rabbit
Who’s racing to beat time
So I’ll come across a talking door
And some twins who will rhyme
I’ve wanted to be a mermaid
And swim the deep blue sea
And soon transform back to human
And marry the man who was meant for me
I’ve wished for a man like Hercules
So big and strong and kind
To say to myself I’m not in love
and then he’ll change my mind
I wanted courage from Mulan
And sass from Kuzco too
And don’t forget wit from Flinn
And curiosity and love from Cindy Lou
So I wait here at my window
Gazing at the sky
Knowing though time has gone and passed
My dreams will never die
