Right Road
Swear I saw a soul
Lonely as can be
Swear I saw a soul
And I know the soul knew me
It was standing at the end
Of an old unused road
With its pavement somehow spent
Neither had anywhere to go
I wanted to ask it's name
Or why it was here
But humans don't ask these things
Too overcome with fear
And I did not think any answer
Would leave me satisfied
I know I'd sooner wait there forever
Just waiting for the Right time
But just as I felt the need to leave
I soon knew I had to go
The soul turned to me
And told me to go home
With a heavy hand outstretched
And a heavy heart to match
I remembered that I knew this road
And why we were the end.
