I am like a dead rose, who doesn't grow in the day, or in the summer.

My life turns colder as fall comes and becomes frozen in the winter.

I grow in the dark, spreading my petals like an elegant black swan spreading its soft, feathery midnight wings in the dead of night.

Then my "wings" close and wither as the night breaks into a blinding dawn

I trust my science teacher so much that I told her about what was going on in my life and I wrote this poem on the back of the letter I sent her. On the next Monday, she sent me an email about how I can make it public..
