I want it to go away
It’s like a rain cloud,
That follows me everywhere,
It was like a injection of heroin
Bringing an amazing, unhealthy high,
It came-
and went,
as it pleased,
But there was nothing else,
Quite like it.
It left me always wanting more.
I’ve never been addicted to anything before,
But i don't like this feeling,
and I never would have started,
If i knew what withdraw was going
To feel like.

This poem is about addiction, but not to drugs.
