You are now a nobody
you've spent all your time trying to be a somebody
Are you a doctor?  lawyer? engineer?  without a life ofpassion?
Being fooled by your peers and money and fashion?
'Tis a typical tale
Succeed but fail.

Good grades;well paying jobs; Ivey league colleges
All to please others with their manicured collages
Never asking the question "who am I?"
Ditch purpose for achievement. Money can buy love
Purchasing  paint for your own portrait, but it's never enough.
You come back to create but only use dark blacks and grays.
You are missing the hues that set life ablaze!

Identity. 
We follow what are parents say
And what the society may lay.
We embroider our scarlet letter;
Or broadcast that we're somehow better.
We wear our colored dresses
Chasing what the world blesses
While inside we silently rage
For a life to be lived outside of the cage.

Instead find what you love and jump out after it
Trust me it'll be pretty lit
Even if it has to go against everything you may know
Doing this with passion is the best kind of show. 
No more wallowing for someone to notice you
Get out there and show everyone what you can do!
Even when the world is against you saying you're not impressive
Screw them, you're totally awesome, they just aren't comprehensive
Be the change you want to see
Alive with passion is the best you can be
Don't follow the crowd
Instead scream aloud
With a voice of freedom
And ask the question
"Who am I?"
