Let It Be
Life is a road trip.
There is no destination or map to show the way,
there are bumps and detours along the way,
but it is the adventure and journey that makes us all stay.
Sometimes you get tired and uncomfortable,
but it is all about the destination.
The pain of sitting in one spot for the longest time,
pays off when you arrive there.
The wind blowing through your hair,
the radio is blaring everywhere.
Family and friends are all around,
you can drive through all kinds of cities and towns.
Travel through life knowing that it's for the destination.
Enjoy the little pleasures along the way,
and know that when there are bumps in the road,
let it be.

I wrote this peice in honor of my grandmother that passed away, she was a big fan of the beatles, and let it be was her favorite song. I decided to put her thoughts about this song into a poem in honor of her death. May you rest in peace.
