Depression
You never see a smile.
The bags under the eyes are always there.
You start to distance yourself.
The tear stains are on your pillow every night.
You can’t hide the pain.
You used to be able to.
But it just became too strong.
Everything around you is falling apart.
You can’t pull it back together.
You try so hard everyday.
Until you had no more strength to try.
You pray, you beg.
But nothing changes.
You’re life is like leaves falling off of a tree
during the fall.
One by one it starts to fall apart all around you.
The smiles were always there,
but now you can’t force them onto your face.
Will it ever get better?
