My heart broke, I loved on the same
but with little pieces missing
still beats
still loves
But changed
it was a fuller love
Heart on my sleeve
for losing you and all the rest
made my heart ache
because you may not have known
how much I loved you
still do
So now it’s different
the best feeling is to love
and to be loved
I’ll hold your hands
wrap my arms around you
lay my head on your chest
You smell like rain and pepper
and I’ll tell you
I love you
because life is unpredictable
and even when I say it
I’m convinced you’ll never know
my heart is torn
but it still beats
still loves
it’s still here
