Long Distance

The sun rose above the calm beach. Small waves crashed quietly. The wind was calm. In the distance dolphins jumped. On the beach a boy sat in silence, thinking. He thought about a girl. He imagined the girl far off in the distance across that great ocean. Although separated by a great distance, he and the girl were with each other, in each others’ hearts.
