I found my poem
I found my poem dishing through the autumn trees
It floated high above the pavement that was so black with one step it would break your mamas back
My mind is starting to chase it
It is determined to know more
Carried as light as a feather it drifts over a field covered by pink and yellow Indian wild flowers surrounding the spring fed mountains
As my poem drifts higher and higher my mind struggles to keep up
It is my poem,I must catch it
I can see my poem being tempted by the suns rays
As I look around I see my poem is no where to be found
I decide to turn my mind into a tiny blue kite
It is my poem I must catch it.
I toss and turn in the wind
Stumble and crumble down to the mountains I sadly fall
I guess I won't find my poem after all
My soul longs to see my poem again, rushing through the autumn wind
