Dream
Wind in my hair
As you lean in to whisper in my ear
I'm so focused on the moist warmth of your breath on my neck
As the breeze carries the mint from your breath to my nose I freeze I'm a world where it's just you and me
I want more than anything for our hearts to intertwine
I can't tell if it's the light in your eyes when you look at me
Or how it feels when you grab my hand to take me on a new adventure
Back to our moment where time is frozen
You slowly move your rough hands to my neck
You lean into my lips with such determination
Yet so timid
As your lips rest upon mine I can feel you fade away
Soon you are gone
Confused and heartbroken again
I wake up realizing you're just the boy who sits in front of me in class
Who doesn't even know my name
