Crush on a poet!
They’re probably not the best at remembering things like birthdays or anniversaries or appointments,
But they do remember the small things.
Like what your favorite movie to watch on a rainy day is,
How you like your sandwiches cut in a certain way,
Or that you love to make blanket forts when you’re sad.
They may not remember the things they need to,
But poets remember the things they should.

Date a poet!
They will paint the world with their tongues in ways that will make you think they must be tripping on something,
They will show you how the world should be with their minds and artful ways,
A poet can change your entire outlook on your entire life with nothing but words!
They will risk opening up their hearts to anyone that asks because let’s face it,
Poets are hopeless romantics.

Love a poet!
They will love you back with a passion that will outshine the sun,
They will memorize your every curve and edge like they’re a soldier going to war,
A poet will count every day they have with you as a gift from the universe because that’s what you are!
They will revel with your every moment of happiness,
And you better believe that a poet will cry with you when you feel like nothing else is good in this world because they know what it feels like!
