Addressed to Mr. Darcy

Dear Mr. Darcy, do
go and chase that girl because
you will only know you love
her once you let her go,
She will leave you to crawl
back into you hole
and she will take the light
and go dancing without
you and you will sit there
wishing you were dancing with
her but realize you were
staring at the dark,
seeing her swing about
in the back of your eyes.
You can’t turn time back,
just run forward and catch
her before she leaves.
