Puerto Rico

It was like a kingdom by the sea
With music filling the streets and the air
The heat encompassed everyone around
And the ocean was the most prominent sound
An island that no other could compare

Under a canopy of palm trees
The sun beamed on bare skin
The languages of the locals mixed with the tourists
And everyone talked of visiting the rainforest
I was immersed in the culture within

I hope to visit once again
The impact of this serene place was unreal
Whether it’s a day spent or a week
This will become the place that you seek
Thinking of Puerto Rico fills me with zeal
