Reflections
When you look in the mirror, you see you
But a backwards, lonely one
Your right is now your left
You accuse it of theft
Of your own immersion
You feel invincible, not anymore
You now see your flaws
Scars, imperfections
You want resurrections
To eliminate the cause
But these aren’t all superficial
A reflection doesn’t show your
character neither does
a resume because
Your qualities aren’t shown by a picture
From a picture, Hitler could be nice
Emotions can be captured
Joy, hate, madness
love, disgust, sadness
But even these can be fractured
A single outlier can change something
From beauty to ugly, and
vice versa Scars
can destroy, Scars
can make something bland
So when you look in reflections
Look past the imperfections
Because there’s no resurrections
