Gathered around, are the millions of souls,

Eager for vibration, hungry for more.

Candy and juice, from one hand to the next,

Lifting you away, from life for a second.

Stand straight, don’t be a fool, follow the rules,

But right here, right now, you can truly be you.

As the lights shine on, and the music plays,

Your fears, sadness, troubles, fly away.

Feel the bass, pumping blood through your veins,

Good vibes, pouring from the stage like rain.

Thousands of goosebumps run up your arms,

A shivery chill slithers down your spine.

Out of your mind, no hurt, and no harm.

Empty inside, you’ve been longing to refill,

Now you’re full of warmth, of peace, overflowing.

Forget the bills, your wills, ‘cause hunger kills,

Go to sleep head banging, wake up glowing.

The author's comments:

I wrote this piece for my undying love of music festivals and concerts. I hope it helps people to understand that it isn't just a place to do drugs and drink, but a place to feel at home, a place where you can truly express yourself. For anyone that holds music in their heart, I hope you enjoy my piece.
