For you.
rose
the taste of rose on my lips
unfamiliar
as you have mentioned
dove deep
with one eye open
now you see through two
noticing
every petal
their delicateness
once guarded
by my cleverly placed thorns
but
you have gained immunity
you are granted access
you earn
inhalation of my aroma
so kiss me
with the taste of rose on your lips
i will grow
i want to
grow my roots
into your soft but firm hands
into your reassuring eyes
into your lips
that have kissed others
but were only made to kiss me
i want to plant my roots
then grow forever in your arms
you exist
caressed by the faint embers of moonlight
my existence is being questioned
decided to have no value
but i remember you exist
and honey,
that does wonders for me.
formation
i want you in every form you come in
i want to see your dark sides
your bad days
for in the good i will be by your side
but when you feel discomfort
self hatred
i will be more than with you
i will be the part of you
that shows you your value
poetry
i live my life in stanzas
every message i type
every sentence i speak
has a separate line
i live my life in poetry
because the only true way
to express my feelings
requires lines
requires stanzas
and my love for you
writes endless poems
you are important
your compass
is always pointing north
you are progress
eyes don’t see
what i feel
what i know
you keep traveling
you spread
light to the dark corners
of this earth
of every soul
you come in contact with
your eyes don’t see
what i know
what i know
is what your eyes don’t see
to share
i want to share
the soundtrack of my childhood
the poems of my heart
the fears of my mind
the softness of my touch
the sweetness of my lips
i want to share
and you let me
museum
light falls
on your margins
framing you
an angel
without wings
yet
there are no curtains
pulled back
my mind has made you
a work of art
for me to admire
future mornings
the taste of your lips and the softness of your hands
are coffee and cream on the coldest of mornings
the warmth of your body pressed against mine
puts slippers on my feet so that they don’t feel the coldness
of the floorboards
your tender smile
wraps a blanket around my arms
to protect me from the harsh breeze i receive
when i open the door and take the newspaper
from the front step
then make you a cup of tea
?
music
i can say
that i have experienced
the purest form of music
it is when
we are alone
you
uttering
‘i love you’
you
as i fell
and light grew near
i thought i saw the outline of your figure
to catch me with your strong arms
was to save me from a life i did not want to live
now i feel
light and hope in everything
you shine so that i can see
why i am here and why i should stay
a little while longer
the safety
the comfort
a feeling once unknown
now unearthed to give me a life
full of love
and happiness once unseen
so let’s discover together
what our love can do
cause honey
i know it can move mountains
it can rouse fires
it can halt coursing rapids
you give me strength
you give me love
you caught me
before i could hit the concrete below
and for that
i can never repay you
