There I was, the first born light that started the family,
But what we didn’t see was that the darkness had us in its grasp with nowhere to flee.

I could shine for just so long, enough for us to have happiness,
But the dark only grew stronger as the two sisters rained in with blackness.

We couldn’t stay in our family bubble long enough, as it was beginning to pop.
So our last moments together ended so fast, that we became so broken, from just a single drop

My last breath, memory I had of us together as my sister and I left was the yelling
Something we won’t ever forget no matter where we were dwelling

As the clock hands keep turning with every tick and despair,
We thought that no matter how it looked we buried deep in Death’s care

Then our mother took a stand, and fought for my sister and I
With hours of sweat and dedication she took us out of Death’s arms and said “Good Bye”

We hopped house to house till we found a place to stay
Also, our mother found our stepdad along the way

Even though we had a rough start
In the end nothing could stand in our way or rip us apart

The times where we became teens was a rocky road for us together
But as we learned and forgave one another it was all better

The time of loneliness has come to an end
As the my feet starts dancing around with my new found friends

As time continues its task for me to grow
I’ll soon be leaving for a new life in just one go

No matter what happens with my family I have faith
Cause I already know that it’s been patched up as they threw away their hate

So as we journey through the times of hardships of and age
Both flooded with sadness and joy,
So now the story of mine will continue on with just a flip of a page.
