"The Book"

She settles down on the couch
Grabs the book of the nearby table
Closes her eyes for a moment,
Taking in the peace if the moment
Flipping the opening cover
She feels the promises it holds
Of peace and unfathomable happiness
She feels the secrets it reveals
The wisdom it discloses
The miracles displayed
The complexity and simplicity
And although there's so much yet to understand
She knows this is where she's meant to be
What she's meant to read
How she needs to live
Who she's meant to seek
And who she's meant to find
