Isla Mujeras
Isla Mujeres
A pretty island in Mexico
5 miles long, 1/2 mile wide
Surrounded by glistening, baby blue waters
Filled with luxurious, grand resorts, lining the beach
Alive with Latin music
Sounds of soothing, warm waves,
Gently crashing against the shore
The sand is fine,
White like snow
Afternoons spent shopping downtown
Searching for pretty bracelets and special authentic finds
Tourists roam the streets
Driving around aimlessly in golf carts
Everyone wears their swimsuits all day,
Baking in the hot Mexico sun
Evenings are spent dining outside
At festive restaurants
With friendly service and fresh, flavorful food
Neighborhoods, of beautifully crafted homes
Colorfully and bold,
Full of life
I remember the sunsets the most
The sky turns into a mesh of soft colors
With pink and blue hues,
That reflect on crystal waters
And create a tranquil atmosphere,
Untroubled and warm
There is not a worry in the world
