Words have the power to change a life

Words can take away a family

Words can tear apart a love

Words can say he's leaving

Words can say he's gone

Words can take the pain of one thousand

Or words can make one thousand and one

Words can tell you they have some bad news

Words can tell you they did everything they could

Words can tell you they're sorry for your loss

Words can tell you that she's in a better place

Words can tell you it will all get better

Words can tell you time heals all wounds

Or words can say they'll never heal you

Words can say its alright to be yourself

Words can say be like everyone else

Words can say it'll be alright

Words can say you'll be fine

Words can say I'm not lying

Words can say you can handle it yourself

Or words can say you aren't capable of anything

Words can build you up to elation

Words can tell you down to perdition

Words can sting like a knife to your heart

Words can feel like a more powerful weapon

Words can make you joyful

Or words can make you want to die

Words unsaid can hurt like Hell

Words unneeded can make someone fall

Words unused can lead to a tragedy

Words unavoidable can cause a heartbreak

Words unavoidable will cause unavoidable pain

Words used for evil will come back to haunt

But words used for good will be useful to all

Words can be used to take over the world

Words used by Hitler conquered millions

Words used by Jesus only conquered twelve

Words preached by a Father are heard by the holy

Words preached by others are heard by the young and dumb

Words are used by all, no matter where they are

Words are felt by thee blind, seen by the deaf and

words are underappreciated by those who know them the best

I wrote Words one Friday when I was feeling mad at the world. One of my friends read it and insisted I showed it to my English Teacher. So the following Monday I did. She loved it and insisted I upload it to teenink.com
