Confused
People are failing to realize that black people have it up and coming;
This new generation will soon be taking over our nation
Within 24 hours of our walking pain; no one seems to care
and make a change
People love to bring up our dark days
and throw shade
It seems a little strange with this black on black crime
Fighting and killing until it’s your time
Our society is coming to an end; Of course no one will understand
Everyone worries about what new Iphone and pair of jordans they're going to buy next
Teenagers smoking, drinking
and driving then dying because of a single text
Our society is coming towards an end
Of course no one will understand and comprehend
The big picture is missing
Everyone is blind sided by the foolish things
Failing to realize that money and expensive clothes don't really bring fame
But, the biggest problem still to this day, the almighty power of skin tone
People yelling and voting for team light skin, brown skin and dark skin
Till this day I ask why is this an argument
At the end of the day you have black blood running through your veins
Why must black people be ashamed?
I am black and I am Proud
Black is the new beauty, love your skin

This black life rant that been going on lately inspired me to make a poem about it. Well I want African Amerians to think about their life.
