The Cure
your eyes
could sink the Titanic
if the Titanic were my heart
they could put every ocean to shame
your gaze is icy
but it melts me still
with the warmth that hides beneath
those miniature glaciers
when your fingers interlock with mine
I feel safe
when I am in your arms
I feel at home
and, God, that smile kills me
when your eyes scrunch up
and you throw your head back with laughter
I could watch that all day
and I love it
when your grab my face
and kiss me like I'm the miracle cure for Crohn's
and one of these days, I swear
you'll make my heart skip too many beats
but if I died in your arms
I would die happy
