A young girl catches a glimpse of the news,
The headline reads “Attacks in Paris”.
She runs to her mom and begins to cry,
She goes to sleep fearing an attack on her family.

A boy sees a magazine,
The main story reads “School Shooting”.
He runs to his dad and ask if that will happen to him,
He goes to sleep with the thought of his school being attacked.

A group of teenagers learns about terrorist attacks in school,
The lesson was on safety precautions at school.
The students go home with a note telling parents they had a drill,
More than half fall asleep having nightmares of an attack.

Living in a world of always being scared,
People being extra careful of whom they talk to.
Going out becomes nerve wracking,
Never knowing if you will be attacked… always afraid.
