Only Her
She sincerely stared at her trembling lips for the thousandth time
thinking back on the days
where everything was simple.
She sighed sadly knowing what she felt was wrong
but she wondered how something
so wrong could feel so right.
She looked lovingly into her eyes
as brown as dark chocolate
and with every glance she fell deeper into the unknown.
Light drops of water fell from the sky
tarnishing her flawless appearance,
but to her she looked even more stunning.
She was as perfect as freshly shined diamonds.
She felt her body beginning to move
it was as if she lost control.
The feeling was unfamiliar, foreign
as she began to see herself leaning in.
Her lips tasted like chapstick and bubblegum,
but it was the most terrific taste in the world.
She would taste that forever
if only life were that easy.
