Favorite Quote:
Respect all, Fear none.

One thing which we as humans long for,
one thing that is mere fantasy.
It’s naive to believe that it will be true,
wasted lives by those who try.
You can’t pull light of a shadow,
nor pull fire from ice.
From the beginning,
violence has spread thru humanity.
People themselves are born to create anarchy,
we embody death.
For those who believe in “World Peace”,
explain how this is accomplished.
Love won’t stop bullets,
People put their hands up & are still shot down.
For every person you love,
five more will hate.
Our minds are programed to fear the unknown.
What’s the definition of World Peace.
What about those little girls who are scared to go to sleep.
because mommy’s boyfriend my come in.
Little boys homeless on the street,
taken and never returned.
Homosexuals being hazed,
countless murders within cities.
Do they deserve peace?
Overseas,
those who die from starvation.
Using religion as reasons to kill.
And as long as the world has more than one religion,
we will never see peace.
Greed,
blood for oil.
Do they deserve peace?
People claim we’re at peace.
Because we’re not dropping bombs on each other,
or launching invasions like WWII.
Peace is conjured up by the weak,
those who fear the blissfulness of death.
Who can’t see the Light in the Dark.
Peace is a cast-away dream,
never-never land.
Peace,
hmph,Peace is a figment of your imagination.
Peace,
is a child’s hope.
Peace,
is a child’s dream.

This poem is about lack of peace in the world. It was inspired by an argument with a friend on why the world would never be at peace.
