Who Am I?
I am me.
I am the six year old girl hiding under her covers.
I am the girl who always kept quiet.
I am a troublemaker.
I am the girl secretly rebelling.
I am a statistic.
I am the one in four.
I am a survivor.
Faded lines on my arms and legs.
I am the girl that gave her all to everyone,
I was the girl they all went to.
I was the one they trusted.
I am the girl that fears love.
I am the girl that doubts herself every single day.
I am the girl that’s healing.
I am the most selfless person you could ever meet.
I am the girl that puts everyone before herself.
I am the girl that desperately tries to find myself.
I am the girl lost in this world.
I am the girl recovering.
I am the girl who lost all her friends.
I am the girl who’s seen aspects of the world no one should have endured.
I wish I wasn’t that girl.
I try to hide that I am that girl,
But I can’t deny that this is me,
I am Haley.

I want this piece to inspire whoever reads it. After everything I've gone through in life I still found a way to love and accept myself. I learned that the events in my life made me who I am today. I only hope that the reader can find love and accept themselves.
