I Wish Someone Told Me
I wish someone told me
How cruel people are
That no one really cared
Even if you’re about to go bizarre
I wish someone told me
God takes the good ones first
What happens when they’re all gone?
We’re left with the absolute worst
I wish someone told me
How life’s so unfair
You could work your butt off
Yet still no one would care
I wish someone told me
Nothing lasts forever
Even friendships will all fade
You will see them sever
I wish someone told me
It’s okay to be myself
If that would have happened
Maybe I’d break out of my shell
I wish someone told me
I’m gonna be okay
I’d put a smile on my face
Tomorrow’s another day
