"You know when you’re drowning you don’t actually inhale until right before you black out. It’s called voluntary apnea. It’s like no matter how much you’re freaking out, the instinct to not let any water in is so strong that you won’t open your mouth"

Rip the earth in two with our mortal sins and fatal flaws

Seal the urge of  selfishness as the 'better cause'

But if I close my eyes for a while

I see the dance of the leaves to the song the light breeze sings

the days get shorter and a night gets longer.

Making  mother frown in disappointment

As we rip green from the earth , and remove any sign of beauty.

All the while we feel the air with smog, just to say that I've won

Consume with devastating force, and yet give so little

Well now you've won a victory, laced with greed, our envy, and lust,

Taunt the stars in daylight, but their lights guide us at night.

I only see humans, where has humanity gone?
