Land of the free
December 23, 2015
With tears in heart
and bread in hand
in the land where the weak
have been helped to stand
There's a wind, a current
beneath the joy
beneath the free
and it can only destroy
As we climb together
we'll fall
Unless we change
we'll hurt them all
We'll hurt the ones
who stood by us
through trial, pain,
through all the fuss
We have made great bounds
from where we once were
but more must come
and end the hurt
Then, the land of the free
the U.S. of A
can be a place again
where children can play
