This Song Won't Finished
I’ll die for my art yet
With this instrument I shall not part
Though into a fine grey, dust my body will crumble
my message shall fly without a single stumble
I’ll die for my art that my generation will not appreciate
My daughter thinks that I have forsaken her
And my beloved takes the comfort of another
I’ll cry for my art
Though my friends leave me
and I’ll become what my family can no longer stand to see
I’ll die for my art
Though my beloved pleads with me to see her
and I tell her that we will soon be together
I’ll lie for my art
Though I forsake the holidays to perfect my song
I’ll die missing my family all along
I’ll sacrifice the present to be remembered in the future
As my relationships are damaged and cannot be sutured
I’ll die for the art that I may never come to see
And definitely not for the people who would die for me.
Why do I have to die?
