Stars
Some stars are singular
They only have particles spinning around them
And yet they still shine bright.
I could not exsist in such a way.
Some stars are singular
Bodies rotate around them
Glow and bask in their light
Yet still they are singular.
I would struggle to exsist in such a way.
Some stars coexsist with another
Oblivious to the matter
Revolving around them.
I could exsist in such a way.
Some stars coexsist with
And rely entirely on another
Starstuff flows limitlessly between them
And anything around them is illuminated
In a sweet glow.
I want to exsist in such a way.

As I was reading Carl Sagans, Cosmos, a line really stood out to me. "Some double stars are so close that they touch, and starstuff flows between them" (Sagan 5). This relationship reminded me of the codependancy of humans, and our nature to latch on to others and give and take in an endless cycle.
