Waves of uncertainty crash to the shore of my mind
What seemed to be calm,
like a sheet of glass
begins to rumble from the deep
causing an uneasiness through my body.
The slow build overtakes me,
saturating my thoughts.
Will I make it to dry land,
or be carried back to sea?
As the questions start to surface
I’m in the midst of turmoil.
The great uncertainty breaks,
and carries me to shore.
