a calm sea of saline and ice
an early December sky of first snow
a lake filled with freshly fallen apple blossoms
blue glass with pale chips
a blue flame speckled with swirling ash
a reflection
still water in a clear glass
crystal upon crystal
faded sapphire and diamond
the grace of an angel
the serenity of falling
the spark that lights a firework
the domino that sends me head over heels
the comfort of a thousand blankets
the music to a child's ears
color.
