Mirror Mirror
Waves and swells — an ocean
Stands before me.
The smooth crash of hipbone to stomach,
The gentle bump of breast against chest bone.
It seems simple — sweet
But after weathering storm
After storm,
There are no more sunny days at sea.
Before me are riptides and currents strong enough to kill,
Framed by the mirror hanging on the wall.
