Columbine
She walks with the man in the skies
Adorns herself with crystalline soils
Waits by the bedsides of soldiers
Swathed in the rosy gauze of shells
And limpid wedding bells
The wintry soul
Faltering in the fog
Confides only in her, and she in it
She bathes by the nocturnal highways
Tendrils dissipating from her translucent lips
Stretched wide to receive the opiated twilight
With grace Columbine ascended
And with grace Columbine will descend
Clothed in ivory, barely worn
Formidable grandeur
Watchful heart.
