You and Me
I'm not good at happy poetry, but when it comes to you and me, the worries flea, anger takes knee, and joy is left inside of me.
I'm not one with positivity, but when it comes to youand me, there is a bright side to 'we', a sight of glee, and a glimmer of hope in society.
I'm not much for cheerful words, but when it comes to you and me, I hear birds and happy thoughts travel in herds.
Sometimes my rhymes take away the sublime.
Somedays my face feels more like a disgrace: however, whenever I think of you and our next endeavor, I realize, no compromise, that my fears and tears are harder in your eyes.
When my self-worth or lack thereof makes you hurt, I feel your love.
The pity and sadness are gone once more and you've healed me more than ever before.

I wrote this before I realized I too need to be able to make myself happy.
