Ticking
Tick-Tock,
Tick-Tock,
TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK, TICK….. TICK….
Why is time so intimidating?
What makes us so
Afraid?
Afraid to run out, afraid to abuse,
Afraid to forget, afraid to misuse.
We always want
more,
there’s never enough.
But time is made up.
It’s simply a bluff.
So why do we worry,
And pace around stressed?
When the monster feared most,
The one we detest,
Is one man created, to measure out life.
In shortness,
In length,
To gauge his own strife.
