Today
Today I cry for humanity.
I cry for those that have been wounded in attacks by the extremists.
I cry for those refugees that are trying to make it to a safe haven, but are being denied entrance.
I cry for those humans that are wanting to ban the refugees from entering that safe haven.
Today I cry for humanity.
Today I have begun to lose hope in humanity.
I have lost hope in the Christian members of the church who claim to love Jesus, but cannot love a group of people in need of help.
I have lost hope in the leaders of our states, our countries, and our world.
I have lost hope in friendship as I am belittled because I have faith that not all muslims are evil — that some are genuinely kind and loving individuals.
Today I have begun to lose hope in humanity.
Today I have prayed.
I have prayed for peace, love, and kindness.
I have prayed that the hearts of the leaders, church members, and friends.
I have prayed for revival — that God’s Holy Name will be called upon to end all suffering.
I have prayed for deliverance — I long for the return of Jesus
Today I have prayed.
Today I have hope.
I have hope that there will be an awakening — that the refugees will be allowed to seek shelter.
I have hope that there will a change of heart, that people will come to see that extremists and Muslims are not the same thing.
I have hope that we can defeat terror, that we can defeat terrorism, that we can defeat hate, and that we can defeat evil.
Today I have hope.
