When I was younger,
You taught me all about the world.
The lightness and darkness that crept in every corner.
The monsters under my bed were my own.
Though, you were fighting battles, you showed me sacrifice.
Sacrifice for those you love.
You've taught me to see goodness in people,
Even if you do not see goodness in yourself,
to let the light in.
Thank you,
For giving me your eyes.
