High School
We’re the ones who made it.
The ones who craved the most attention that was deprived from us.
The ones whose parents either tried their best
or never gave a sh*t.
Either way,
we made it.
We got our hearts broken ten too many
by people who swore they loved us.
By the same people who swore they’d change.
“Friends” is used lightly,
the knives are still in our backs.
Too painful to pull them out.
But they were so quick
to pull away.
Breathe in,
Breathe out
and your problems will go away.
When you come down,
don’t
crash
too
hard.
