The guardians of stone
The tall oaks, so large and mighty
The oldest things that live on this mountain
Trees that have stood for centuries
watching the quarrels of men, far bellow
  Watching bloody battles
  That happen under their boughs.
The trees, The guardians of stone
  They watch river flow
Clear like glass but cold like snow
They know each stone on their mountain
Never to get confused for they know
Every fleck of earth, every leaf on a tree
  To every high flying bird
  to even the lowly flea
  To the mighty bears
  Even the harmless mice
  Every tree knows everything
Because the trees, The guardians of stone.
The trees strong and tall never to fall
  Only to grow stronger
The river running over there roots
The rain falling onto the leafs
These trees that have stood for centuries
  Will stand a thousand more
These trees are the guardians of stone
  The guardians of the mountain
  The guardians of the earth
