Lachesis's Rod
I am used to measure
the thread of life after which,
Lachesis determines one’s fate.
I can feel the old, crusty fingers of my owner as she grasps me.
I can hear the snip snip snip my friend makes as he cuts the thread I measure.
What I have to do is as easy as ABC’s
But my purpose is of utmost importance to one’s destiny.
I behold an incredible value,
For my measurement can cut someone’s life short or make it
Extremely long.
I am Lachesis’s other half since she is nothing,
Without me.
I am the reason
For her being who she is.
I, the rusty rod have so much power that I can ruin or prevail anyone
I want.
