Fight For What You Love
Freshly cut hair, pressed uniform, all ready to leave for battle,
He’s headed out but stops, remembers that laugh, that smile he can’t be without her,
He finds her, gets to her door, knocks three times with the left, holds flowers in the right,
She runs to the door not knowing who’s on the other side,
She sees those brown eyes, the eyes she’s dreamed of seeing again, and that small grin he gets whenever she’s around, this was so unbelievable, he was there, he came back for her.
But, then the girl wakes up.
Those eyes and smile she’s longed dreamed of have disappeared and she’s alone again.
This isn’t a fairytale, but she dreams of her prince coming home everyday.
Someday he will come back, he’ll return for that laugh and amazing smile, it’ll be worth wild just to see that smile.
She doesn't want to lose him, not wanting to spend another day away from those brown eyes,
Freshly made bed, packed backpack, all ready to find him and keep him this time.
