I run through the woods

pulling up my hood
It’s freezing,
I might be wheezing
I have to make it to my stand
it’s name brand

Finally going up the ladder
I see a deer getting fatter
since I came out on this cold windy day
hopefully the deer don’t foul play

I want to get a big one
then I will be having fun
Out of the corner of my eye
I see a fly
The fly is as annoying as a bee
but bee’s aren’t in my tree

Then I see it
I have an open hit
of the deer in the corn field
I grab my concealed weapon
Then my chances lessen

I still take the shot
Hitting right on the spot
The doe was speaking to me,
everyone is going to be happy.
I feel as overjoyed as a bee
I hope my family is very
happy with me,
how could this be.

My first deer by myself in a tree
and I got free meat
I climb down the ladder
Look at her
The buff doe laying peaceful
I am blissful

Messaging my dad
he was glad.
he came to help me
drag the deer past all of the trees
I put a tag on her
and we went to the house
my mom is wearing a blouse
We celebrate the news
nobody has the blues

The meat is good
I will definately go in the woods again
to get another deer
it was quite clear
that this is what I live for
and if you don’t like it, well there’s the door.

I wrote this poem because I have a passion for hunting and I thought it would be a good idea to write a poem about something I have a passion for.
